Entrepreneur Success. Suja Juice. Blawnde.

Success.   This word means different things to different people.   My idea of ultimate success is doing what you love and being super successful at it.  An entrepreneur at heart, I have always tried to find a way to do what I love and make money doing it.  I have been able to do what I love and make a living doing it, but I have never been able to be make a killing yet.   I have started a few brands over the years but nothing has made it to top.  (I will try again.)

However I run into people in real life that are often able to find that passion and make a killing while doing what they love.  One of those uber success stories is my neighbor Annie.

For the past few years, I would often run into an attractive young blonde in our apartment building in La Jolla and we would exchange pleasantries.  Our exchanges were always related to fashion because she was always wearing amazing handbags and cute outfits.  She was super friendly and had an incredible wardrobe.   One day we were both wearing plaid shirts and she said, “Oh, I see you got the plaid memo.”

Last summer I ran into her on the street in front of our building doing a fashion photo shoot.  I asked her about it and she gave me the name of her fashion/lifestyle blog.   www.blawnde.com

Since then I have continued to follow her blog and career.   Annie is actually the perfect example of someone who is an ultra successful entrepreneur.   She started an organic cold pressed juice company 4 years ago with a friend when she was in her early 20’s after dropping out of law school at University of San Diego.     Suja Juice quickly got financial backers and was picked up by Whole Foods.  The brand sales exploded nationwide and was recently valued at $300 million after an investment of $90 million by Coke-a-cola.  Check out their website at www.sujajuice.com to learn more about their incredible story to success.    (It was no surprise to me when she moved out of my building a few months ago into bigger digs.  Ha!)

Despite her enormous success Annie has continued to blog on a daily basis and is very grounded.  She still has time to devote to eating healthy, fashion, travel and friends.   Her lifestyle and amazing journey is the epitome of the American Dream and Success.   Check out her blog here  www.blawnde.com

Speaking of success,  Annie was received the "2015 Woman of The Year" Award by San Diego Magazine last night at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla. www.sandiegomagazine.com

I love following success stories like Annie’s journey!

Stay tuned for future posts about American success stories that inspire me!
