My New Favorite Shoe Brand! Vince Camuto

I have always courted various shoe brands over the years.   For a while I was into Miu Miu and for each birthday or anniversary I would go to the Miu Miu flagship store in West Hollywood (they are closed now) and buy a new pair or when I was in Italy for the Linea Pelle show I would go to the local Prada/Miu Miu store and get the latest pair.   They usually set me back $400-$600 dollars per pair.   Eventually it got to the point where I could not justify adding to my Miu Miu collection.

In the past few years I have not found a good brand that I can buy every season.  A new footwear brand will pop up but their quality and designs are often inconsistent and or they go out of business after a few years.

As a former shoe designer, I don't mind spending a few hundred dollars on a good pair of leather shoes that will last a few years.  For the record,  I am total shoe snob and I don't buy fake leather shoes like Steve Madden, etc that hurt your feet after 15 minutes and rip after 3 months.   I have worked for several shoe companies over the years and I know what goes into a good pair of shoes and I can't justify wasting my hard earned money on plastic shoes.

Last year I stumbled across a pair of Vince Camuto booties at the downtown Seattle flagship Nordstrom store.   (I used to live 5 minutes away).   They were super cute and I purchased the and have worn them a million times every since.   Over the seasons I noticed the brand continues to grow and features modern, on trend, quality European inspired footwear for women.  I love the brand because it is modern, cool, but not too trendy.   They leathers feel like butter, fit like a glove and can go well with jeans or a dress.  The best thing is that most of the styles are under $200!

With my Christmas money I just purchased an amazing pair of "cage" booties by Vince Camunto.  The best place to find the brand is Nordstrom women's shoe department or online at www.vincecamuto.com
Here are a few of my favorites below!

These are gorgeous work shoes!

Love these sandals, they are dressy enough for going out, yet also look great with denim!

I love booties like this because you can wear them year round!  (at least here in California)  I wear these with rolled up jeans but I have also worn them with an above the knee skirt.   With shoes that cut off at the ankle the length of skirt is important or you can look like you have cankles.
