New handbags update.

I have had a lot of emails lately over where is my new handbags? I just wanted to let everyone know that my handbag and accessories line is self funded. Which means by day I do freelance design gigs for other companies in the fashion industry. With that income I put it back into my own collection. As a freelance designer, the gigs come and go as they may, and some are far and few between, so I am able to run production based on how much work I can bring in as a freelance designer. Therefore a this stage, my collection is still very small and grass roots. It has developed organically over the past two years. I run the company from A to Z. I don't have any employees, its just me, myself and I. I am very thankful to all my fans and to the customers who purchase our products. Everything I earn goes back into the business to keep it going. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do for a living and I know I have the talent. My ultimate dream right now would be to get an Angel investor to invest in my company so I could hire an assistant and get a showroom in NYC and LA. I am exploring the possibilities now. With that said we have some new handbags coming out in June 2010. Stay tuned! In the meantime I really really appreciate all the people who purchase our amazing Italian leather accessories and your support. xoxoxo

Fashion Accessories Lead Time

As a freelance fashion designer and consultant I spent a lot of time educating my clients about the process.   There have been many times where after I design a handbag or accessories collection for a client the expect to have the samples in a few weeks.   I put this timeline together to educate people that are new to the fashion industry about the lead time. Designing and launching a fashion collection of handbags or other accessories is extremely time consuming and complicated.  There are many steps to the process and it takes months (not weeks) to launch a line. My goal as a fashion consultant is not only to make beautiful products that sell but also to manage the complicated process for my clients.  I enjoy the process and have been managing this product development and production process for 15 years.   It is amazing to see your sketch turn into a final wearable product! We Don't Exist to Please People

  Don't allow anyone to take away your happiness or your life because they are not comfortable with the choices you have made in FOR YOUR OWN LIFE.  The  title is a bit misleading. I don't exist to please people. It took me a long time to figure that out. One of the main things I noticed after I was about 30 years of age and got married was that I had a lot of people noticing how I lived my life, my career, my house, and basically everything in general. Before I got married I was a bit of a nomad and traveled all over the world. At that time, if people were judging me, I was too busy flying to Thailand or Amsterdam to notice, and my house was a rented room on the beach in Los Angeles.  After I got married, the criticism started rolling in like Thunder. First, it was, my apartment or house was not big enough. (sorry rent is sky-high in Los Angeles), then when we bought our first house, it was still not big enough.
